Integrated system of water ecology carrying capacity and water pollution control of river basin

Abstract: Integrated system of water environmental management is not used widely in China. This paper proposed the general framework of integrated system for pollution control based on eco-region. The database for the integrated system is established. Multiple visualization techniques of watershed environment are developed. Integrated system of water ecology carrying capacity and water pollution control of river basin based on 3D digital basin technology is developed by the combination of above techniques. Massive watershed information, which includes the hydrological and environmental information, the hydro projects, the economic and social development of the watershed, is processed in this integrated system. The key processes can be simulated in this system, such as the hydrologic circulation process, the water chemical process, the economic and social development process and the pollution discharge process. As a result, this integrated system can be used to serve the practice of watershed management.
