Flood control and drought relief are important issues the whole society is concerned about. The monitoring, evaluation, forecasting and warning of flood and drought disasters constitute the key links in the disaster prevention and reduction work.
Major research contents of this project include:
(1) Research on and establishment of the system of the monitoring, evaluating, forecasting and warning technologies of flood and drought disasters based on space technologies, and research on key technologies of the monitoring, evaluation, forecasting and warning of flood, water logging and drought disasters
(2) Application demonstration research on the system of the monitoring, evaluating, forecasting and warning technologies of flood and drought disasters based on space technologies
The results of this project have been demonstrated and applied to the monitoring, evaluating, forecasting and warning of flood and drought disasters, providing important reference to decision-making in disaster reduction and relief work, achieving substantial social and environmental benefits.
