IWHR 2026 International Exchange Program Officially Launched

　　2026年3月16日上午，我院2026年春季学期国际交换生项目开班式在北院新主楼714教室举行。副院长陆瑾出席开班式。来自法国蔚蓝海岸大学的7名交换生和我院国内外研究生代表及研究生院师生共30余人参加开班式。

　　On March 16, 2026, the opening ceremony of IWHR spring semester 2026 for international exchange students was held in Room 714 at the Graduate School. Vice President LU Jin attended the ceremony. 7 exchange students from Universite Cote d’Azur, along with more than 30 representatives of Chinese and international students, as well as faculty and staff from the Graduate School, participated in the event.

　　陆瑾在致辞中对远道而来的交换生表示热烈欢迎。她指出，各位同学的到来为校园注入了新的活力，也为中法两国在水科学领域的学术交流搭建了友谊之桥。面对全球气候变化、水资源安全和可持续发展等共同挑战，中国水科院始终坚持开放共享的办学理念，希望同学们深入交流学术思想，通过课程学习、案例研讨、实验室参观和工程实践，深入了解水信息学与水资源管理的前沿理论与创新技术，同时感受中国水利与自然融合的实践成果，收获一段充实而难忘的学术与文化之旅。

　　In her speech, Vice President LU Jin extended a warm welcome to the exchange students who had traveled from afar. She noted that their arrival had infused new vitality into the campus and built a bridge of friendship for academic exchange between China and France in the field of water sciences. Facing global challenges such as climate change, water security, and sustainable development, IWHR has always adhered to an open and inclusive educational philosophy. She expressed her hope that the students would engage in in-depth academic exchanges, gain a profound understanding of cutting-edge theories and innovative technologies in hydroinformatics and water resources management through coursework, case studies, laboratory visits, and engineering practices, while also experiencing the practical outcomes of China's approach to integrating water engineering with nature. She wished them a fruitful and memorable academic and cultural journey.

　　教师代表张诚正高在致辞中结合自身在减灾领域的研究经验，鼓励交换生珍惜这次难得的学习机会，积极与我院师生开展交流与合作，在思想碰撞中激发创新灵感，在跨文化实践中拓宽学术视野。他表示，希望同学们不仅能掌握专业知识，更能成为中法水利交流的友好使者。

　　Professor ZHANG Cheng, as the faculty representative, shared his research experience in disaster reduction and encouraged the exchange students to cherish this valuable opportunity. He urged them to actively engage with IWHR faculty and students, sparking innovation through intellectual exchange and broadening their academic horizons through cross-cultural practice. He expressed his hope that the students would not only acquire professional knowledge but also serve as friendly ambassadors for water-related exchanges between China and France.

　　本次交换生学习为期3个月，主要开设水信息学与水管理领域6门自主英文课程，共有7名法国研究生参加，同时我院国内外学生也将全程聆听有关课程。学习期间，还将安排科研实践及文化参观等活动，前往相关工程现场进行实践教学，体验历史悠久的中国文化。

　　This three-month exchange program offers six independent English courses in the fields of hydroinformatics and water management. Seven graduate students from France are participating, while domestic and international students from IWHR will also attend the courses throughout the program. During the study period, research practices and cultural visits will be arranged, including on-site practical teaching at relevant engineering projects, allowing participants to experience China's profound and time-honored culture.
